J. C. Snead, Founder & President
J. C. Snead, a seasoned executive in the wealth management arena, is responsible for the delivery of family office services to our clients. J. C. has more than twenty-two years of experience managing a single-family office providing comprehensive wealth management services to a high net worth family.
Prior to the formation of Edgemont, J. C. was Managing Director and Executive Vice President of Sierra Grande, L.C., a single-family office providing a full complement of services exclusively to a multi-generational family. While at Sierra Grande, J. C. developed and implemented integrated wealth management and estate plans to achieve the family’s investment, tax, estate planning, and philanthropic objectives. Further, he was responsible for the direction, coordination, and management of all business operations and the activities of investment managers, attorneys, accountants, insurance advisors, bankers, and other financial advisors, specialists, and consultants.
J. C. has over thirty-four years financial and management experience, including wealth management, investments, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning, through various capacities with private and public corporations. His business and corporate finance background includes public equity, debt and convertible financings, private placements, alternative investments, financial advisory assignments, M&A transactions, restructurings, creditor committees, and business valuations.
J. C. received a B.A. from Ripon College (1972) and a Masters in Business Administration, Beta Gamma Sigma, from Southern Methodist University (1978).
